Honda forgot where he was because he was so excited, and because he still loves Kaido his first reaction was "I have to go home and tell Kaido" and in his excitement he didn't think about where he was and that Kaido wouldn't be there. And it was definitely Kawasaki's apartment he ran into because that's Kawasaki kneeling outside listening to him cry and lamenting about his friend being as big an idiot as he is (see the spin off to understand the level of Kawasaki's idiocy, and if you want relief (and spoilers) for Honda and Kaido. The spin off is on here completely and translated, but it does overlap with this story so if you prefer to suffer through this in suspense avoid it for now.)
