I agree. I think Bum does not like the way Sangwoo treats him that much but he accepts it because he thinks nobody will treat him better anyway. I quote ' could you get angry ... on my behalf? Any one of them ... could you do it? '. He is basically saying, that he doubts that anyone could take Sangwoo's place but he needs someone to care for him so he accepts Sangwoo bc he's like better a bad one than nobody...

Well, that would have to depend on your definition of masochist. Are you strictly referring to those who feel physical/sexual pleasure when in pain? Then, I can see your point.

To me, a masochist is someone who endures pain because there is reward. Whether the pain, in their mind is pleasurable or not, doesn't matter to me, it's someone who sees enduring pain is worth it or good. For example, someone who lets someome else mooch off of them. Because they soothe their lonliness, the abuses they suffer at the hands of the moocher are just steps in the process of getting the reward, in turn they start to like or get used to the process itself. That's Bum for ya. Getting raped by his uncle destroyed him mentally. But rape by Sangwoo isn't getting that extreme of an reaction. Sure, you can argue he's already mentally broken. But the way I see it, is Bum associates abuse from Sangwoo as securitu that Sangwoo is willing to put up with him. That mentality renders all physically painful experiences from Sangwoo as rewarding, I can push it and even say they might be pleasurable or come as relief. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
