He may not be able to copy any abilities from his dad, but he's still strong physically and has a history of violence. It doesn't seem like too much of a stretch to think that Papa might not be able to defend himself handily against someone like that
I think you missed a lot of the story...? John RESPECTS his father. He SAID that he's the person he most respects in this world...? As well, the violence, as you don't seem to understand, was a result of being bullied and betrayed. WHEN has his father done that, hmm? The only unprofessional one is Sera, she isn't deserving of John's trust. Or did you miss the part where, although she SAID it was a joke, she pretty much whined about her life but didn't give a rat's ass about how what she 'jokingly' wished for would have affected JOHN. THIS, AFTER she CLAIMED to want to emulate him and left home so rebelliously yet you notice she NEVER brought that up in front of John. Yes, she's very unprofessional.

Most importantly three: how John feels about his father kinda doesn't matter, especially when he's acting all shifty. I'm thinkin' maybe you missed the story on this one? Because he wasn't violent in the past because of bullying, he was violent because he got a big head and thought he was the shit, while too many people were rightfully calling him out for being an abusive asshole. My point of John's dad being scared of him, especially now that he's letting his guard drop and showing how fidgety he is, was what /John's dad/ thought of John, not the other way around. I don't actually think John would hurt his dad, I'm more interested in their chemistry currently. Not sure how you missed that so hard but props my dude X3
