They are so cute

This is so cute but as much as I love vegetables I can't stand okra. It's slimey interior just kills it for me. And did it say natto in the ingredients list at the end? YUCK I'd eat a whole box of Okra before I ever go near natto again. It's SUPER SLIMEY and it tastes spoiled, not fermented, spoiled. If others like it that's cool but for my taste buds...NOPE.

I feared as much - some of those depictions of natto seemed fairly realistic (slimey beans that...are ...slimey). they could taste like heaven on earth, I wouldn't be able to put them in my mouth, much less swallow ( ̄∇ ̄")

there are just certains types of food (a delicacy over here!), that look like something after a horrible accident... can't eat that, no matter what.

I often agree with you on okra, but it depends on how it's prepared. Slightly unripe okra, diced and sautéed with other veggies can be quite good. Honestly, fully 'ripe' okra is too ripe for me, and that's when you get the sliminess.

I love fried okra but any other way I'm very picky with cause of the sliminess.

Yeah that natto was something else. As soon as I put it in my mouth my gag reflex went off immediately. My body would not allow me to swallow it lol.

TBF the person who used to make me okra was my grandmother. I loved her (no longer with us) but that woman could NOT cook. She could burn water lol. And her okra had the texture of boogers.
