I agree. It's all based on misunderstanding, which is fine, some stories ARE based on misunderstandings (this one had more than one), but there's no way that someone says "what the hell...disgusting" as a response to "I like you" and can't possibly know that would be offensive. Especially if the person then runs away without telling the loved one where they are. Pretty good clues Kou-chan fucked up but good.
