There is an attraction between them, you can feel it. Although I also love Ryuuzaki I don't think he is a good spouse material for Yashiro. They have rough life, they are yakuza and all. I know but Ryuuzaki doesn't accept at all his feelings about Yashiro. For him like an embarrassing weakness.
For someone like Yashiro (who has been harassed, unloved and manipulated for almost entire life) needs a person who loves unconditionally and straighforward.
Do you remember what "stepfather" said Yashiro in ch 8? "You're really a girl. God made you male by a mistake"
Ryuuzaki says "if you were a woman" for years. Without knowing it he has been putting salt on his wounds. But Doumeki says "everything about him looks beautiful to me" and his love for Yashiro is source of life for him.
I also ship Yashiro with Misumi or Ryuuzaki sometimes. But Doumeki is so enthusiastic about giving him the value Yashiro deserves, the other ships sinks immediately.

i very much know why they won't work (god know how many times i reread this whole manga when i'm idle) and yes, i agree on everything you said. the pair do have a certain charm to them but in the end, they an't be the end game. they not the official couple after all. and as i mentioned, i just low-key SHIP ryuuzaki and yashiro. "SHIP". (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I know. I knooow, the official pairing is doumeki x yashiro but i can't help but low-key ship ryuuzaki with yashiro. Their setup could have been the types of pairing I like. (Just a ship tho, I still want yashiro and doumeki end up in the end).
They knew each other way back and together, they led the rough yakuza life. And if there is an alternate world (or a fanfic haha) that makes them a pair instead, I'm certain that I will love it very much.
