But the thing is that unlike Maya's dad Yamato's dad has no power over him, he can't throw him out since they don't live together and haven't done so for a long time now, he can't cut his living expense since Yamato works and lived thank to his aunt (who is pretty much his only family and probably won't interfere with Yamato's life now when he clearly never cared enough in the past).
Yamato isn't an heir either so I don't see what right he could have to interfere (he probably will but I can't see him having any impact on Yamato's decision)
