I feel like there are several themes being all tangled up and confused with each other to the point that it is hard to tell them apart.
I think this is the one time where you could rightfully call the uke slutty, but not for having for having more than one partner. More in the way in how it is all done. I never think a character as "slutty" merely for engaging in casual sex but for seemingly being willing to have sex with anybody indiscriminately.
Then there is the way the boys as whole treat the whole issue and Chiaki. It seems more than a little mean-spirited to simply make bets that he will soon be gone. I guess all that friendliness was just fake or they would, whether or not Chiaki wanted to join in, want to talk to him to find a way he would be ok with the situation. Instead they're laughing about something that could ruin his future.
On the one hand, this story certainly got you involved with the MC, so I guess that's a plus. But if the uke is going to be the roommate then we've been given every reason to dislike him. He's being both slutty and unsympathetic since he knows how much being in school means to Chiaki. The only one of those boys who is being nice is the other dark haired science student. Can we have a romantic pairing between Chiaki and him please?
I KNOW RIGHT. I ship Shinobu x Chiaki so haaaard damn. But then they would make top x top? ( ̄∇ ̄") but I kinda have a feeling Shinobu’s roommate has a thing for him (the guy in glasses) or the other way around IDK though just my unpopular opinion lol ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
