Umm, have you not read yaois, before? If so, I don't know how you missed the fact that most yaois show plots like that...?
And also... the butler never forgot that he was fired...? This IS Japan, after all, where people are way more committed to their work than most people in the west...? It would be irrational to expect him to act like a lover right away, and rational to NOT expect him to act that way.

I'm not gonna lie, the butler is not the smartest guy. Right after he was fired as a butler & given a new job, he immediately forgot that he was fired & what his new job was & kept angsting like it never happened, plus he thinks you can catch a cold by sleeping sitting at a desk.
