Not the DJ, the reactions. This is a pretty basic plotline in dj. I thought it'd be something really disturbing but it was rather normal, and kind of contradicting at the end.

Assuming the kidnapper was a fan he'd never cut the legs off, they're Victor's reason d'etre.
The DJ itself is below average.
