It's a fact that he's a spoiled brat and it's a fact that it's his PARENT'S fault. However, showing him them kissing is not smth to be up in arms about. I'm sure reo knows that kissing is intimate, it's nothing to be "sullied" over and keiichi being jealous is nothing new. They had to make it clear to him sooner or later that shingo is keiichi's partner after all. Reo was starting to cross the line in posessiveness and I'm glad that they put a stop to it or it would have gotten weird, not to mention actually inappropriate, real quick

and the best way to do that, would to be to tell him, not to show him something he really shouldn't be seeing at his age on purpose. i'm not pointing fingers at you specifically but i think some have yaoi goggles on and will defend his actions, when in real life if your significant other did this in front of his nephew, or someone in the family did it this way, it would not be okay. Rio definitely is too attached, but no one has ever told him directly/taught him not to be how he is. he's just treated like a little prince, and yes, i do blame the parents, who have the main fault for this, but they also don't see a lot of the interaction when Rio is over with Shingo and Keiichi only so they all have pieces of what we get to see the full picture of.
Just a thought,not to start a debate,but do you think Rio would have actually listened had he been told shingo didn't belong to him? Given how spoiled he is?
no worries, i'm just passionate about my viewpoint, but i'm not angry at anyone who disagrees. if Keiichi were really serious and solemn, maybe. but i think the best person to talk to Rio would be Shingo. for Shingo to let him know, you are special to me, but i have other people who are equally special to me, etc. i'm not asking that right in that moment Keiichi sit Rio down for a talk, but there have been several missed opportunities in the past to make this clear, or it could have happened now without the whole french kiss thing
also i think Keiichi should have let Shingo know to talk with Rio in the past, at this point i'm not sure how aware Shingo is that the Rio thing is getting a bit much, i don't see any indication before this moment that he was concerned
also final note - if you notice in the beginning of the series, Rio was very fond of Keiichi. As he grew more attached to Shingo, Keiichi started treating him more like he was being a pest / treating him like a rival. Rio being a child and sensitive to this behavior took on the same approach and they started having a "rivalry" for Shingo. I think Keiichi is definitely to blame for this turn in their relationship, he could have handled this completely differently. i'm not saying Rio would be happy to share Shingo, but this was definitely the beginning of the souring in their relationship and what has happened now
Just a thought guys but arent we looking at them and applying human logic to their actions when in fact they arent fully human? They are part cat so they are going to act and react differently to situations then we would expect humans to do,right? They act on instinct also which might explain all the territory "marking " the jealousy over things that regular humans would overlook...it was just a thought i hide.. Really enjoyed everyones viewpoint on this..

I'm so glad that someone is reasoning like this, mostly because I think that NOW we're a few that we interpreted this universe like this...THEY ARE HALF HUMAN! And yes, I think sensei portrayed all her characters pretty well in their feline half: possessives, capricious, territorial, distrusful, etc. I really love that someone else is appreciating this, I think sensei put a lot of effort to continuously stay in this path in all 6 volumes so far. So bothered I have to chip in again, yes Rio is spoiled and definitely needs to be disciplined better, seems like he gets everything he wants. But I haven't seen any specific behavior he has had towards Shingo that needs reprimanding specifically, they just need to tell him that Shingo has others he cares about and can't pay attention to Rio all the time. That being said I'm pretty irked by Keiichi because he's showing something sexual in nature to a child. Regardless of how Rio interprets it his innocence is being sullied by this he is too young to know what it means but of course now will definitely have questions. showing him this at such a young age is not okay. I feel like the adults are to blame for never saying no to him, so it's completely unfair and messed up of Leoochi to retaliate on Rio for something that is partially his fault, along with the other adults
