Hehe lol I was a little confused by that too!! I think it's probably just a joke that meant "so sly that I could even see the ears of a fox" kinda thing, you know....the kinda joke that would've come in a tiny box in chibi form on the side with not much importance.
Yes, I actually think it's a joke. In manhwas and manhuas they do that often. They put on kitten, dog or fox ears to the character depending in how they're acting. When they act cute, sometimes they put the cat or dog ears as if they are "as cute as a cat" or "as cute as a dog".
