Yes, I found it so too. It'd be more engaging had the delivery shown more depth of emotions, despite the premise being simple. I heard there are more volumes to follow so maybe there's improvement?

I thought this (so far?) a lovely story, but it seemed slightly rushed. It brought up certain themes repeatedly only to deal with them in the end in a minor way. Like why Yuki didn't contact Takuma for so long, the reason we're finally given is predictable but not all that satisfying, and shouldn't be for Takuma. Yet Takuma doesn't even react, which given his history and all the fuss he made, just made the whole issue feel rushed in the end.
