Yooo I just saw this comment on my timeline. I agreee wih u (≧∀≦) some people might think "it's just fictional works/this is just manga/mangaka has her own style" but we as reader need logic of the story. That's important. I know it's just some fiction but at least don't make readers feel like "fooled" by the story. If u know what I mean :"D
I understand your point, but is a common thing doing stereotypes and that doesn't mean these are true. We do it in our life without knowing it. For example: "Being mainly or femenine" are part of two stereotypes practically opposites, but that doesn't mean a girl not being "femenine" or a boy not being "mainly" means they are gay.

Facepalm!! "Dress up as a gay person"?? Are they idiots? That is the worst stereotype there is. I'd think that anyone going undercover as someone gay would know better and just dress normally. Sure in certain settings gays dress up, but so does everybody. But not only does it depend on in what manner of gay a person is if they are even likely to wear anything unusual for a man, and many only do so at certain places and times. It equates to a woman showing up for work in a cocktail dress or jogging outfit instead of a suit. Frankly this is just stupid. Too stupid really to be in yaoi.
