I agree though? Like Okino's just shallow as heck?? What's with liking someone just for their looks? And Maya's dad hello adoption is a thing? Don't push your views onto other people because you couldn't do things as a father when your son was growing up. That's on you and your child shouldn't have to bear the burden of that.

I don't think it's just "liking someone for their looks"; It's just that he's type that likes the good looking kind, which I don't think it's too crazy. I mean, when you meet someone the first thing that will notice is their appearance, that's why I don't think Okino is judgmental or anything.
As for Maya's dad, I think he was just in shock that he comes back after who knows how long to find his son naked with his boyfriend. I think it's reasonable; Maya always acted like manly delinquent, so his dad was just thrown off; after all, its not like he started calling them names or anything, he probably just doesn't know enough about same sex relations so he doesn't understand ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

I get what you're saying about Okino but personally, it doesn't sit right with me how he does a total 360 after seeing his face. When he wasn't even willing to give him a chance before, his heart just goes 'doki-doki'.
And with Maya's dad, I get he was thrown off. He hasn't been around too much and to suddenly know bout your child's changed sexuality can be shocking. The name calling part I think comes in because he lives abroad so he has to have been exposed to homosexuality. But it's the comment with Akira, the 'I think a little girl would suit you for a child'. It's this assumption of heterosexuality and the fact that it's norm. He says Akira would understand as a parent, but he himself hasn't tried to. It's not as if I dislike his father or anything but it's that I dislike the views he's shown to have.

'he's type that likes the good looking kind' you're spot on. thats exactly what he is. it's called being shallow. even if his intentions are good, you cant deny the fact that okino cares only about looks, and yes, he is judgmental, one glance at kutani and he already wanted to take off. uhm what. you cant use the 'irl people notice appearance first' excuse. any normal person, even if they weren't their type would at least get to know them first before passing their judgment. okino only 'fell in love' after he saw how good looking kutani was. there are no excuses for him.

i think okino is really shallow, but i do hope we can see some character development for him. and i also think that glasses guy is a good match for him. but yeah, he's shallow af.
