Theory 1: Probably because it may be Sebastian and his subordinates trying to kill the people in the household?
Since it can't be reapers because their job isn't like that and will be punished if they did so.
Theory 2: Fucking Undertaker doing something retardedted and hot. (Lol idk) And maybe thats why undertaker is an ex-shinigami, since he's done something thatll expose his identity (Like grell but way worse) and broken the rules.
Theory 3: The people at the school were Vincent once studied. Maybe a fag or a schoolmate wanted revenge? I mean. Why would there be an arc for Vincent's past school if there was even no story to it?
Theory 4: The other families tried to assassinate them. Since everybody has a grudge on the Phantomhives.

Wait- We all know that Tanaka can fight. All of you saw it on previous chapters, right? Then why he isn't fighting using his martial arts? I'm thinking that he knows something more than as we think.
