I think maybe he was generalizing, like "people have types, right?" Implying both he and he seme have a type they prefer to date... And right after that he puked hahahah bad timing, but maybe the uke thought the seme interpreted is as he wasn't uke's type to the point of making him sick
(After the ending of chapter two that's how it looked like to me)

There seemed to be a flashback during that scene, like he was genuinely being forced, combined with the fact that he suddenly became promiscuous... methinks he was raped. Sometimes, people become more promiscuous after something like that and they either go for a partner exactly like their rapist trying to unconsciously justify what happened to them, or someone that is nothing like their rapist trying to forget that it ever happened. Either way it would explain his words and why he barfed.

I think it means ‘just because he is gay doesn’t mean any guy would do’ or ‘he has a right to choose a partner who’s his type’
But the title of the book means, “(you are) not my type”
I doubt that he’s not his type though. I imagine a guy who’s the same type as Maki took advantage of his attraction in the past, and he was heartbroken. So the issue seems not a matter of type, but more to have mutual love when having sex with the one he is attracted to.
the uke at the first pages said "you have a type" meaning that Maki wasn't his type, right? 'Cause I didn't get at first and I was wondering what he was meaning, my english is not brilliant
