That what I want as well. Considering it's a gore manga from the very beginning and it was blacked out...I think the writer want us to have a reaction while Kaneki will realise what he did to his best friend and that he has no grudge against Kaneki.
I wanna see Hide's face. It must be bad, since it is blacked out...Touka didn't react to it either. Good friends.
