If you were them, and your money maker (Youmei) told you to keep his dog at home - or they would never get money from him again . . . . how and where would you keep a VERY MAD dog that can get out of any place, and burst through his chains? And bite everyone in the process (more than once I'm sure).

huh? so what you're saying is "keeping the dog at home" means beating them up, including a civilian?? have you seen him trying to fight them? he was asking them to let him go to Youmei or at least send some back up... are you saying they deserve getting beaten up like that? i see you're someone who approves of unnecessary violence, i hope you don't condone things like that in real life... Never said I condoned violence (violence in stories have actually made me ill, even though you cannot tell from this post). And they didn't beat up the friend, they only got him drunk. As yakuza stories go, it would be strange if there was no violence. I've been reading for long enough to recognize a plot device when I see one. This was not violence just for the sake of violence. I am saying that I understand why the mangaka used violence in this part of this story.

It's okay if I don't change your mind on the story line. But, it's a shame you felt the need to belittle someone who was just trying to share their understanding of the story.

I'm worried that kid is going to die of alcohol poisoning. Low tolerance, lots of alcohol really fast, bad things happen.

Luckily, there is a Doctor that is in love with him. I too, would run screaming from bugs falling on my head (oh wait, I've already done that!). Too bad it was on 3rd shift and no doctors were around for me to run over, I mean - into . . . .
