Yeah, the raping bullies was a bit too much, and all just to get the uke to become "impatient" for sex with his seme, RIGHT AFTER?! ...I feel like the author used the dirtiest, cheapest trick in the box to get the couple to solve their problems. I don't see why he needed to use such a shocking scene, let alone in such a shallow way as that...
Yeah that scene was odd and didn't fit with the overall pace of the manga.
Yeah, the whole rapey bullies could have been replaced with something better. Hell it could have replaced by a super flirty gropey guy who doesn't mean harm and it would have fit better. (yes those exist)
dad develops a lot in this chapter. You can see him fighting with his disgust of gays with the love of his son. The love for his son and seeing the positives the relationship has on his son has won. It is nice to see someone go though that in a more silent and kinda isolated way where it isn't the focus. Mind you the negative could be a number of things and it would still work.
As for the bullies... seriously? why do they want to do that? they find out someone is dating someone of the same gender and they want to mess with them to the point of being rapists. I am not sure about you, but I will never understand the rapist mentality. screw someone you love.
I do love the 'cleansing' scene. And our seme got what he wanted. He wanted his uke to look like he wanted sex. Truthfully, I think the first few times it would be hard since you are getting use to each other.
