Yeah. We think that humans are rational but we are actually more irrantional and emotion-based. I think he just really wanted to have Dohyun. It is like when somebody placing this one thing as their highest priority ever and then they don't really think of much else, which actually is super effective in achieving that 1 thing, just not very effective in being sane and logical and moral about how to go about achieving it

I think at first he really wanted revenge and to hurt Dohyun due to what have happened in the past (i wanna know so bad why their relationship back then ended) but towards the end of the previous season he realized that really his feelings for Dohyun were and are love (even if it is twisted since he's mentally ill) so right now i think his deepest wish is to be with him but i think he has realized only now that what they had was in the past and that what he have done during the kidnapping has made Dohyun hate him so at the moment is completely out of his mind and disperate because he doesn't know what to do
