There is a good ending and he gets his humanity back, and start to teach him how to speak again and how to act normally. I can't say for sure what happened in the middle since there are only raws for now.
but if the situation made you uncomfortable I wouldn't reccomend you to push yourself for the ending

wow...actually i totally don't care if there is a love story or not. The situation the "ex" human is in is so horrible, I just want him to get free..
