Hm... I was thinking she was too embarrassed to have him see where he lived? I mean, the shots of their houses/apartments are pretty close to each other. You can really see the difference. Her building seems older, with PTAC units and cracked/dull walls, but the guy's house is...a HOUSE, not even an apartment with stone exterior and huge windows...
At least, that's why I thought she had him drop her off so far away.
