yeah. that's what i've been trying to say too. i wish the mangaka just either go to smut route or plot route. i'm pretty sure if she stick to one (not that her uke needed to stick to one, two is fine), it will work.
I'm not quite sure what to make of this. As an erotic 3p it lacked something, and on a deeper note, if it was to be taken just a shade more seriously, it also lacked something. The mangaka seemed to want to equate emotionally a long and intimate relationship of the childhood friend as being the same as one of fairly recent making. Of course they'd be different. Besides the uke seemed so indiscriminate in his lovelife and friendships, so to seem more a butterfly-like person, and not capable of real deep affection. Someone to be loved rather than a lover themselves.
