Yeah I really agree with you! THANK YOU! She had a so many chances to be a badass but then they pull her back to MC guy to be her crutch. There's so many times that she says she wants to be a better for the sake of her country, but depends on the mc guy approval. I think the way they should have had it is that the best part of her is that she is independent. But for herself more. And have the prince fall in love with her best she wants to improve herself. And we can totally blame MC girl; the Mc guy was way too old at the beginning to see this love natural progress...

The only issue I have tho is whenever the MC girl (can't remember her name for some reason) seems to be a complete badass she ends up failing and getting help from mc guy or needs his approval. High key not trying to be like "women don't need men they independent" but it happens almost every time.
