it's certainly because it is just that - fiction. a great amount of humans have an innate desire to see or feel aggressive behaviour. if it's romanticized with some kind of reason or background story - all the better. that's just how humans are. Why do you think war and rape exist in the first place?

Okay, I know that yaoi are are a fiction but my problem it's not the rape in itself ( there are few yaoi with rape in their plot but it's more real, for example the victim despises the rapist, there is a good develop of their psyche ecc...) and I know that rape, war, hate ecc are characteristics of the human race but my problem is the equation rape=love. IT'S WRONG in so many ways. I don't like the fact that the victim falls in love with his rapist ( and often this """"love"""" it isn't portrait as a syndrome e.g Stockholm Syndrome )

Before I must say, when I first started reading yaoi I didn't care much, but after a while, even if it's fiction I don't get WHY it should be shown as a way to love! Like WHERE in HELL you know ?!!!!
