you guys know that trauma is dealt with by people differently, right? Some suppress their emotions and choose to battle or submit to their demons within themselves while others actively look for outlets. I think seme is the latter. Some do it because seeing others more pitiful than they are relieve them somehow.
People who are severely traumatized are less capable of making rational decisions so the concept of "you have been abused before also, then you know how shitty that is, so it makes no sense you commit the same to another." is beyond the seme's state of mind now.
