I would have been fine either way so it didn't bother me. I do quite like how the artist didn't put them in the assumed stereotypical roles. Makes it feel more natural to me.

Me too... after reading too many yaoi mangas I don’t like these positions. I really loved it at the beginning and i was looking forward to a sex scene. But then... BOOOOMMMM. And i was too disappointed I didn’t continue
stereotypical seme x uke comprises of basically 80-90% of BL so just give the mangas like this to us who like unique pairings. We never go to the likes of viewfinder and complain that asami should be uke, no?
I also like unique pairings, an example of shishi mo kobamazu. It also have a taller and muscular uke, the same as this one. But tetsuya doesn't have any uke appeal, he's not cute at all, he's just cool, the contrast of the uke in shishi mo kobamazu.
And no, I'm not complaining duh..., I'm giving my opinion without insulting the characters, the manga or the author. You're thinking too much about a simple comment.
And I don't care much about the height or muscular whatever for the seme. As long as the seme is cooler than the uke and as long as the uke is cuter than the seme then I'm up for that.

Only, being "disappointed" sure sounds like complaining to me, IDK. I see a lot of similar topics on "seme not being enough of a seme" or "they should switch" on a few mangas like this. Kind of a downer tbh. My comment is more about imploring people to can we just enjoy these kind of seme and uke "that does not look seme/uke enough"?

Overall is good and I liked the plot but I'm quite disappointed that Oumi is the seme and tetsuya is the uke. I'm super picky about who the seme and uke is. And usually, I prefer a taller black haired seme who gives a cool and sexy vibe and uke who is cute when doing sex. Oumi is cute to me but he's not really cool much and tetsuya just isn't cute to me but he's sexy and hot. But I guess I still liked it though for me, it's a good manga to kill my time with. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ it's a 50-50 I guess...
