Hello ~
Realistic mangas are rare but not non-existant! I mean we may not have the same conception of the word "realistic" which is actually quite hard to define but I do have some recommendations that I think you might like if you are searching for a manga that isn't too fluffy or too dark with a shot loads of clichés :)
1. Smells Like Green Spirit (my heart was litterally crushed reading this one. The characters are so real...)
2. Koimonogatari ( I tagged it "too relatable it hurts" so yeah I think this one is pretty realistic)
3. Hate Mate (I personally find the characters detestable but this is what makes this manhwa so interesting. It's very far from well polished bishonen characters)
4. Bokura ga Koi wo Ushinau Riyuu (I don't remember much about this one but I know it was very interesting)
5. Escape Journey (This couple isn't cliché and the manga really deal with the problems that arise when you are in a same-sex relationship. I love this one)
6. Hatsukoi No Atosaki (This one is absolutely one of my favourite. It is bittersweet and I love the characters)
7. Kyuuso Ha Cheese no Yume Omiru (one of my absolute favourite!! This manga is so realistic, it shows perfectly the struggles that one may encounter when facing their sexuality. It is heartbreaking but if you haven't read it yet just go you won't regret it!)

Dude, didn't you read and comprehend what I said? Basically what Im saying was, Yes, I do complain but I still read them anyway. If I found them boring, which you obviously assumed, I should have not be staying in this site. I'll stop reading them completely. You wouldn't be able to read this. I'm just stating the obvious trend and see if anybody else thinks the same way as I do. That is not synonymous with hating them. I just want to look and see if there're non standard stories out there - that I still haven't read. Chill. Happy New Year. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I wonder if there's a yaoi plot that is realistic. I mean, don't you guys get tired [sometimes] of cliche stories like, the overly feminine uke, the once-the-uke-becomes-the-uke-everyone-suddenly-falls-in-love-with-the-uke-making-it-a-harem-thing, the sex right after confession, the push-over uke and the brute seme, the this-is-technically-rape-but-its-being-romanticized-so-I-guess-its-ok, the in-denial "I'm not a homo" but still fucks a man anyway? Or am I the only one? XDDD
PS. Sometimes I do get tired of these plots but I still read them anyway. :3
