How does an omega turns into a beta this is new info for me ?

I wonder as well. It seems the the "omegaverse" type of stories have newly emerged out of no where and each different story sets its own rules. Some stories state that only mates have kids, others say that it just has to be an alpha and an omega and the deed is done.
Some say that the destined bond can never be broken, others say no...
Basically I'm having flashback from the time where I first started reading werewolf stories on wattpad and each story had its own rules and sets its own universe...
I don't necessarily hate it but it can get too confusing at times especially if you ollow multiple stories at once and you forget which rules apply to which story ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

I think he was talking about an omega who uses suppressants to pass as a beta. So the omega only “turned into a beta” in the social sense, not the physical sense.

When he says that I don't think he meant that it was real in that sense. He says after that that "it's impossible". It's phrased weirdly but I think he actually means that when they become official mates(like when the omega is bitten by the alpha) that to everyone else he is no longer an omega. His phermones are hidden from all but his mate and he can live out his life outside as a Beta. In some stories omega's heats can be suppressed by their mates while their mates are away so they are literally just like a beta when this happens.

But at the same time they cannot have sex with anyone else because their bodies will reject their partner(they'll throw up and be in pain). So at the end when he says that the only way for the omega/beta(unsure here) to be with the one he loves is for the omega to be bonded with him(an alpha) but this too is bad for them.

That's the way I took it cuz the other way isn't possible. Also there were some other mistakes in how the story is written/translated so I mentally fixed it.

There is another way, and it was discussed just above you. One that does NOT give the Alpha credit for being a pos.
