Yoo, i've been noticing the same thing and it's really annoying! Like, I didn't come here for hinted straight couples and the two main guys being "bros" with no hints of liking each other romantically.
To be fair, on the site this webtoon came from, it wasn't listed as "BL" but just "Drama", so the author didn't have the intention of making this shounen ai in the first place.
It's only on mangago that An Uncomfortable Truth has the shounen ai tag.
We shouldn't really blame the author, but the way this webtoon was categorised on mangago instead.
Actually it is kinda shounen ai because one of the characters likes his brother however it is unrequered love so...it still counts XD
I'd agree with you there if it was clearly romantic love...but idk. We don't really know if Yoseob is attracted to Jaeha in that way, because one of his defining character traits is that he doesn't know what it is to love or like someone/something as other people would.
I don't think that it's romantic love, or "love" at all, i think that is more like dependency, or just someone by his side so he doesn't't feel like a monster. Most of the psychopaths have distorted idea of what love is.
The author doesn’t put the tags on mangago....and Monochrome Factor was shounen-ai, just not explicitly. (The main villain was in love with another guy, and the two main characters’ relationship was either heavy slash or Shounen-ai too). Anyway, I do agree misleading tags are frustrating, but I don’t think that’s the author’s fault.

I think that It may be the case, but sometimes it is also the reflection of the story that the author wants, or the reflection of his feelings, but it is a subject matter; for some people a story like "Monochrome Factor" is more attached to the shounen-ai genre than that of a shojo centered around a heroine (unlike experts in shounen-ai or yaoi Manga).
And yes, the publisher is a drag on the mangaka, it must comply with the category to sell it is sad but it can be exceeded! (づ￣ ³￣)づ

I hate whichever either mangas or animes that put these genres as the priority but it turns out the story line nor the ending is not as what it stated.. It seems to me that the author just want to make their works highly recommended and famous universally with cheap ways.. Since these genres seems to be most highly attractive to fans and readers.
As for examples, one of the manga which called.. Ummm.. Wait. What that manga name again? Urghh.. Wait.. Monochrome.. something Monochrome.. Ha! Monochrome Factor! This manga also used Shounen Ai genre but it turn out as Shoujo + Action manga.. It really pisses me off! Ha. Haha. The cheap ways to get your works highly recommended to readers. How lame. Haha. Ha. Ah.. Ahem.. Sorry, I lost my personality controlling..
