Future re-read

I couldn't fully enjoy this manga because I kept expecting Taka to sleep with someone else or start dating someone else. I guess it's my pessimistic side. I would have enjoyed this much more if I had known those things wouldn't happen. I really want to re-read this story in a few years while remembering that nothing too bad (for me) happens. That way, I'll be able to enjoy all the sweetness in this manga.

i totally agree with you. all the confessions etc at the end were super heavy handed and obvious like ok ok fine takahiro claims he’s in love with tarou and he was fated to fall in love w tarou bc he basically already fell in love with both tarou’s mom and sister (so takahiro isn’t really gay or bi... he’s straight and just is sort of going down the chain of people in tarou’s family). it’s so fun and cool (sarcasm) that takahiro has no interest in tarou besides sexual interest. someone made this point a bunch of comments ago, but takahiro never asks tarou about tarou’s life (besides getting “jealous” over his job) and never communicates his feelings until the end, when suddenly we’re supposed to believe that takahiro is in love with tarou. where is the evidence? THERE IS NO EVIDENCE in this whole manga that takahiro (without memories) loves tarou. what has takahiro even done for tarou (nothing)

sorry this is such a long and emotionally involved response... i just feel so unsatisfied with the ending despite re-reading it multiple times. i love love tarou so much, and i am so impressed that tarou didn’t give up on takahiro despite the literally ABUNDANT evidence that takahiro didn’t want anything to do with tarou. i guess my main issue with this bl is that i love tarou and wanted the best for him, and takahiro treated CONSTANTLY like second-best. takahiro never showed his love for tarou (here some people might say “but didn’t takahiro say he loved tarou when they were having sex at the end?” to which i’d reply “you should know by now that confessions during sex mean nothing”)

anyway anyway sorry again - takahiro isn’t anything close to a loving nor caring nor even ATTENTIVE partner to tarou. tarou deserves so much better and honestly i wish they hadn’t ended up together. like takahiro if you want to date your sister or tae-chan or even mie (notice taka’s heart rate chart for everyone in tarou’s family... strangely his heart rate around mie (tarou’s other sister) is nearly comparable to taka’s heart rate around tarou) THEN DO NOT DATE TAROU

so my main points in this way too long rang are -

why did takahiro say he loved tarou when he clearly had feelings for his own sister, tae-chan, and tarou’s mom?

why did takahiro return to tarou when he found the rings? why did finding couple rings in his pocket mean that he suddenly loved tarou? takahiro hadn’t loved tarou before finding the rings so why would it make any difference

lastly, what interest did takahiro even display in tarou besides sexual interest? takahiro is just sexually attracted to tarou but has no emotional attachment to him (no memories, remember).

ok ok so here’s what i think should’ve happened
    takahiro leaves tarou
tarou realizes takahiro was super shitty all along
takahiro matures and returns to tarou to explain himself
tarou and takahiro finally resolve whatever sexual dynamic they had. tarou cuts sexual ties with takahiro and they resolve to just be friends
tarou meets a nice, open, and caring boy and they date. end

to the original commenter - please totally ignore my reply. it’s just a dumb rant, sorry
