There was. After he went on to "buy beer", he didnt come home probably for about a month or so since their hair got longer a bit, he probably stayed at kazu's place and stopped contacting tarou for quite sometime. Its not really indicated in the manga how long the skip was, but thats what i'd like to think, coz thats the one that makes sense. Lmao.
