Self-Reflection

This is really good self-reflection manga.
Skyler can be seen as a child who has everything. At first glance. But if you look deeper, it shows that his mother is manipulative - overbearing. He is compared, or drawn into relation, with his older Idol sister. And his younger brother is more calm. Where he gets compared to him by his grandmother. (The mom - similar to her son - is someone that wants to please their mother. To make everything seem "normal" - ie. Buying/using Yeonduk as a friend for Skyler, not like Skyler's bully friends)
Yeonduk - bless his soul - didnt even know he was being used from the beginning. He honestly thought they were friends, and hopefully, maybe more than that. When the truth came out, he started to look back into his early memories to wonder if there were any signs that showed it. If he was too Naïve.
And then it did show. (Now hes losing sleep for it)

I wonder if Skyler will end up like his mother. I wonder if he's starting to realize that he still needs Yeonduk, not as a ploy for his mother, but as a friend.

Is it wrong for me to want EndGame Skyler & Yeonduk? I know ppl can change, and they're at a time where they're questioning everything. Maybe there's still hope.

It's not wrong to want Skyler to change and feel remorse. I assume Sky/YD is the endgame given the title, cover pic, etc. But Skyler right now doesn't deserve Yeonduk. He needs to feel the pain of realizing what a shit he has been and commit to be BETTER. Then we can forgive him. :D

I can understand your point because you are using points that showcase where Skyler is REALLY the victim. IE: not because of Yeonduk.

Thanks for ustanding my point :D
I think cause how he was raised, it formed who he is now. Witnessing his mom manipulate Yeonduk & his mom with money (cause I'm assuming they're not that well off) Skyler is learning how to do it too.
But it's not all on the fault of the mother. Who we can see how she's afraid of her own mother (Skyler's grandmother). I.e Her shaking when the grandmother kept asking where Skyler was.

The mother-in-law is a bitch. But using Yeonduk makes the mom a bitch. If she was so concerned about her son, she should have taken care of him herself, not left it to a little boy.

And Skyler is not really a victim. Where is he a victim? He has money, a nice home, medication/care for whatever that childhood illness was, toys, game systems, etc. He also is the most popular guy in school, dates, has chums. How is he a victim other than his mother is protective in a less than ideal way with Yeonduk??? The victim is Yeonduk.

Yes! Very true. I've seen many ppl calling Yeonduk a snitch etc etc.
Skyler is the Golden Boy who seems to have everything. (What I'm saying is that he doesn't. He's so naïve to the feeling of love & actual friendship that hes so rude to YD - thinking that YD is only doing the "friendship" act for the mother's money)
This is why I support Yeonduk trying to get revenge on Sky.
But I guess he's stopped now and doing a self-reflection of what he should actually do.
    He deserves a happy ending.
