I accept that the witch didn't get burned, because sometimes in life bad people get away. But if Shitorani wasn't going to slap a b, he should have at least confronted the other person who caused his trauma. Shirotani definitely lost contact with his dad sometime in the past, but he never hated his father. It would have been nice to see some sort of contact, to show that Shirotani is indeed recovering. Like he could've sent a small text: hope you're well, happy holidays/new years/birthday, May the 4th be with you. ANYTHING! Or at least take the easy way out and have the dad dead, and them just visiting the grave and Shirotani leaving behind his gloves on the tombstone.

Shirotani was also just beginning to realize that he doesn't see the world as dirty, but himself and was scared of contaminating his surroundings & Kurose. We never got to see more of that side. I would actually trade several smut chapters for chapters that focused on his mysophobia followed by a small but more loving and satisfying bam bam in the ham scene in the end.

And then the last few chapters we're introduced to Kurose's first love. First there was no need for that late character development into his childhood, because it never affected the overall story or the way Kurose acts in the present. There were no moments of Kurose being vulnerable and for once open up on a deeper level to Shirotani. Their relationship is actually sooo one-sided. If anything it leaves you with a shit feeling that Kurose still loves that guy and is just with Shirotani because he reminds him of the other guy and is conveniently by his side. Cause Kurose knows he can't get with the other guy who literally took the trouble to move out and away from the annoying kid neighbor.

Welp. At least the last chapter shows that they've sort of settled and are satisfied with the lack of proper major plot closure. Ima go cry now...

Yeah I think I totally get the gist of what you're saying. There were just a lot of loose ends that could've really made the ending great had they been properly taken care of. The dad, the witch, more of Shirotani & Kurose's relationship as an established couple, kurose's job!! It would've been nice to have those subjects touched upon & get some closure on that but.. as long as they're happy. I'm sure sensei worked the best she could. Either way, the reading experience for this book was one f the best & unlike any other!

I totally agree with the part kurose's still in love with his first love..... sensei didn't show us much of kurose's thought about their relationship.... that's the part I'm so unsatisfied with! I kinda pity Shirotani Cruz of that
