We need to know Meili’s role. It isn’t explained why Ge is marrying. He only says it’s to protect Meli but how ?

Exactly. Like.. 30chapters in and everything feels very vague still.
And honestly, the relationship between Tian and Mei was suddenly- romantic. Like there was no showing how their relationship evolved.
I just have to say this out loud. As much as i love the story, i think the author needs to work on how to sow the entire story together. It’s honestly not just about not showing the entire make out scene or love scene - but i noticed how a chapter ends with a climax but the next chapter is back to square one in terms of the story. There’s no story build up. No denouement. It’s getting frustrating.
For example: ch31 where tian hu embraced meili at the final scene saying he’s scared. It would have been great if the next chapter is something that would explain the fear. And how meili fits the picture re: his fake wedding. But no... next ch started with meili and friend getting a perfume. :/
