nope this is still during their middle school days.. they were just talking about the time he tian went to go run and see jian yi, the night his brother attempted kidnapping him only a few days before. it was the night they were shocked to see each other and he tian flipped him off.
Does that mean we're in the present and He Tian looked for Jian Yi when he was kidnapped?
