Actually, I started to translate it in a way of "Here is what I have, let´s learn more Chinese together with this amazing story".
So I made a few versions, just to see what could be done, and what could bring better results. I´m the kind of people that thinks better while doing something about it, even if it means that later I´ll have to do it all over again.
So at first, the translation of "Here U Are" came out with pinyin first, re-writing all the speech bubbles + a Chinese-to-Portuguese version. Very much like a traditional textbook. That would take some time, and I know that people lose interest when it takes too much time for the updates. That would be terrible, so it was a no-no.
So I just remembered how I started to get some interest in learning chinese: when I read the translations of the 19 Days manhua (19天). I became really obcessed with it, and
to be able to compare the raws to the translated version was pure gold. Before knowing OldXian's manhua, I had already learned some Chinese whith an app called ChineseSkill, that is still the most efficient one for a beginner to grasp the basics. The next step was getting a nice dictionary app, and I found Pleco and Line perfect for my needs. Soon I started making friends online, mostly with people majoring in Languages-Portuguese.
My conclusion about the translations?
Grab people's interest and let the nature do the rest. Curiosity is a powerful thing.
May I ask how much time did you need from the very start to learn Chinese?? That must have been so difficult but I'm also considering in learning
Well, I took longer than usual, and I am just in a lower intermediate level (I think so).
When I started playing with that ChineseSkill app it was right in the beginning of 2015.
I took very long breaks for a lot of reasons (my mom got really sick, I started a very demanding job in another city, plus I has to study to get a better public job). But now I am in a comfortable situation, so I can use the time to do the things that I like.
If you keep the pace, obviously you can achieve much better results.

Times like this, makes me so glad im chinese... If you want a mini spoiler about LiHuan's (blue hair) personality, read on!! I mean, its nothing much considering the raws are only up til chapter 23 now! And its another reason for you not to give up on this!!

So, the reason LiHuan (blue hair) has went back to his home is because his mother just passed away during the summer holiday and he was very worried about his father being alone at home. He has also always been a very quiet person, so he wasn't trying to show a 'bad personality' at all. Furthermore, he is in a new and foreign city, so it adds on to his unfamiliarity and thus his personality. YuYang realises this and apologises (even though it was difficult at first) he then reaises too that LiHuan is much better than he thought. SHALL NOT SPOIL MORE BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO RUIN THE HEART-FLUTTERING MOMENTS FOR YALL ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
