The "ok" was most likely for a character that wasn't shown in the scene. It's all part of a plan.

I'm going to be talking about chapter 13 with the dude who was asking out the main dude. When he was throwing out the "ok" hand signal, cause back in elementary school we used to do that to each other all the time. But to us it was a meaning of a.s.s. hole. Cause when you put your thumb and pointer finger it creates a hole and the rest is a.s.s. If that is what the "ok" dude is sat my instead then that gives it a total different meaning to that scene. But it is still weird for the dude to throw up and "ok" sign even if it wasn't for him calling main dude and ass hole.
