He just wanted friends that cared about him, from what we saw from his perspective it looked like they didn't even acknowledge his existence, he found new friends and thought that they were his actual friends so he gave his friend a gift but it backfired.

I’m so suck & tired of that jiho can he be more street smart?? Like who does that?? Give an account to someone? Dumb much ?i wish they stop focussing on him and get in with the story and like maybe get a plot twist or something for Park his the main character so they should focus on him moree.... now I’m off topic from ^^(￣∇￣")
