Yup. It never pays to lie in these situations. At least not if you truly care about the other party.
Why on earth did he even say to Mishima that he never liked him? It better not be a reason like "I was leaving and didn't want to cause him heartache" or "I got scared of my own feelings" or "We tried to have sex but it didn't work and Mishima seemed scared so I wanted to spare his feelings". And I can still think of more! If it's any of those Imma get reeeeeeeal mad (╬￣皿￣)
