that was my initial reaction too but there is a truth to that statement and at the same time it also applies to couple that can not bare children with there partner. still is a harsh thing to say to a friend.

I think that that is a common reaction, sadly...
If it's a stranger, some don't mind, but if it's someone close, then they might be against it...
A barren relationship? Ouch, should I be offended by this as a lesbian? I'm a little annoyed but then I remember that that is Japan and moreover, it's fiction XD Anyway, I think it's so nice that those brothers have a good relationship and love each other. It's a fresh approach on the brocon trope that's usually used for comical purposes or as an obstacle that the couple(usually seme) has to overcome
