Not gonna read anymore chapters until this is fucking finished because I refuse to waste my fucking time and sanity and happiness on the manga if Shou forgives or goes easy on Fuku at all. If Fuku doesn't get fucked up by the end of this story I honestly might be done with Harada completely because she really missed the tone with her audience this time around. Even loyal Harada fans thought this would be about Fuku's suffering in the end. If things work out "peacefully" Im just done here

I really like how Harada handles Nii-chan for example, and this was REALLY good up until last chapter. Harada had always been using the horror framing the whole series but suddenly they shifted the nuance halfway on the latest chapter??? It's weird.

I think Nii-chan atmosphere shifts definitely were very present and noticeable, but I can admire the experimentation going on in her work there. She was having a lot of thoughts about what direction to take the work in and I think thats present in the work since it started off as a one shot with one kind of tone established and then she ended up deciding to take it further and didn't commit to that original tone in order to explore new things. It wasn't perfect, but it artwork never is. I wasn't super involved in that storyline as much as I was here (I mean, it feels like this story in particular has been very unique with its viewers because it feels like this is the most strongly we've felt about any of her characters so far). But because this one has been unique like that, it feels like we're getting tossed around a lot. Maybe its because we all have so many ideas about what we want the story to be this time around whereas with other stories of hers it feels like we've just been along with the ride. I think people are more deeply engaged in these characters than ones in the past so its hard to accept the different things she may be trying out.
