Cuz I can read Chinese and that’s what the author said in the post that he’s a new character.. :(
And the new character low key feels like he and Mi Xi are related. I kinda feel like he’s Mi Xi’s grown up nephew.. If author-san want us to accept a new ship, author better gives a darn good reason what happened to Mi Xi T^T don’t just suddenly destroy my ship or torture Mi Xi T^T!! ‘Cause I strongly believe Shang is Mi Xi exclusively so AUTHOR-SAN PLEASE Σ(っ°Д °;)っ ( T﹏T )

Then, did you happen to find some picture of Mi Xi with little babies? I vaguely remember seeing such picture somewhere. I'm anxious af that the author decided to make Mi Xi marry some female character and have kids with her. Or...does Mi Xi has siblings?
I don’t recall seeing pictures but I guess author wants to draw a fresh start for the characters because she kinda insinuated at the end of the first vol that parting is not the end but rather a fresh start right.. maybe it’s a fresh start with another character, or maybe the new character is just a rival who’s gna catalyse an improvement in the rs between Shang and Mi Xi. We don’t know, guess we can only wait and see. I’m not mad at the idea of Shang having a new rs w the new character as long as the author properly account for what happened to Mi Xi. Cuz I always thought Shang will be waiting for Mi Xi and they will have their reunion when they are much older, much mature and much stronger. :( Idk.. mixed feelings

Ok, so the newest chapter is out and posted on the author’s weibo..
Apparently, there’s a new character that looks like Mi Xi omg.. and it looks like he’s the new bartender at where Shang is working. Author stated that he’s a new character and is waiting for the opportunity to let Mi Xi appear. SO IS THIS A LOVE RIVAL??? Omg.. I don’t want this pls don’t let him be a love rival pls let Shang remain as Mi Xi exclusive :( I’m scared :(
