I actually think that Skyler has similar feelings for Yeonduk as Yeonduk has for him,and is equally frustrated with his feelings because he cares for Yeonduk despite his mother purposely cultivating his mistrust of Yeonduk with lies and half truths. His mom is so mentally ill she has no business being responsible for any kids, not even for herself, to be honest and I find myself judging Yeonduk's mother pretty harshly because she is very aware of the situation and does little to nothing about it so that her own comfort remain unaffected.
I don't judge her has harshly because I do think she is trying to help and Skyler mom does seem to be in therapy or at least trying to get better but we clearly see she's not getting better and after this incident I really don't understand how she still has custody of her kids, isn't nobody saying anything? Leo clearly hear everything that was going on what she stated.. it's pretty unbelievable how she's not arrested.
Well in real life most people don’t say anything when they see a parent mistreating their kids so I’m not surprised that in a comic they’d be the same.
This is true, but there is some difference between not helping because it doesn't affect you, shitty as that may be, and profiting from the dysfunction. Yeonduk's mother turns a blind eye because it benefits her to do so.
I really am loving this story, definitely one the best and most addicting mangas out there so I really hope things end up with them as friends only or with Yeonduk finally away form that place and happy. I love seeing his story but even after reading the last chapter and what Skyler is going through, my feelings towards him are still not good, I fell awful for him and his problems with his mother but I just don't like the way he treats Yeonduk all the time, because of a stupid misunderstandings when they were kids, the way he ignores him, doesn't defend him and creates all this schemes to pretend to his mother he hangs out with him while acting like he is trash. He ignores him, "treats" him good, then we discover he hates him all this time, again than defends him of that bully because Yeonduk is actually a nice person who even though he trys to hate him, he can't go that far has to let him have more problems with his mother and helps him..then goes back to saying he dislike him, the same old shit. I get tired of his crap but I know there going to end up together, though I wish that author had some guts to make Yeonduk decide he has enough and actually try and separate them and let Yeonduk move on and be happy. The only character i truly dislike is Skyler mom, what a disgusting person. I still wonder why nobody does anything in regards of her abuse of Skyler, knowing fully well how she is and why Leo or even Yeonduk mother don't tell Yeonduk how she really acts towards Skyler.
