I try reading summaries on fandom afterwards for chapters with major plot points. It's exhausting but you sure as hell get a grip on the story and the characters.

I really like tokyo ghoul but it kinda reminds me of attack on titan. There are so many characters, so many backstories and everything is moving at a rapid pace that I don't get, understand, know what's happening half of the time. I don't even recognize some characters. Names are being mentioned and I'm like "Who the hell is that again?". I think to understand everything i'm gonna have to re-read quite alot of chapters
