    Holy shit

No, she’s not. A lot of people who read that were confused. But when Yona says that the wind tribe have been waiting for him for 3 years, it includes the time he spent as the Wind Tribes General and working/living in the palace.

Wow you’re untrusting. I don’t have the exact page anymore, but the most recent time that Kusanagi had written down their ages she was still 16. It was also a huge discussion amongst us translators when everyone seemed to be confused.

Feels like a lot happened for it to not even be a year yet.
I didn't mean to offend you when I asked for proof, it's just not my thing to blindly believe everything I read on the internet. Anyway, thanks for the info, I'll look into it myself.

The wiki is run by fans and anyone can make alterations. You should never go by what wiki says.

    "It's been 3 years since I became a general..." - Tae-Woo

Tae-Woo became a general when Hak (18) left the wind tribe to travel with Yona (16). Add their three years on the road, and that would make Yona 19 and Hak 21.

Have you read the RAW? In the RAW Taewoo actually says 「将軍になってから3年も帰って来なかったし」Taewoo never actually says “since I became a general.” He doesn’t specify who exactly he’s talking about. In this specific case it’s about Hak. If you want an exact explanation I can’t provide you with how the Japanese language and it’s nuances work. I grew up speaking Japanese so I never had to study it in a manner that teaches me the nuances like ELS students have to learn nuances in English.

Also the lack of Taewoo specifying to mention his or Hak’s name, means he’s talking about the other party. Plus Jaeha still refers to Yona as a 16 year old girl.

Here’s another translator that I trust and her Japanese is remarkable. She covered the matter a while ago as well. http://pandaflavouredcookies.tumblr.com/post/169017310643/so-ive-received-a-lot-of-messages-regarding-this

Oh, ok. Thanks for clearing that up, I didn't realize it could have been mistranslated in that way. People unfamiliar with Japanese (like me) would assume sentence like that to be pretty simple to translate, so it's understandable that it caused confusion.

No problem! I just try my best to help clear up any misunderstandings. Many translators aren’t actually fluent in Japanese, and therefore make quite a few mistakes here and there. I translate on Otakumole, but it’s been quite some time since I’ve translated AnY. (My education is my priority so I can’t join any translating group because I have an inconsistent schedule, and can’t committ to translating.) but I try to educate the readers the best I can whenever I see a mistake in the translation.
