Well, as long as I know, in YOI, characters never address their sexuality and never say if its good or bad to be part of LGBTQ community but they treat it as something normal, there's a part in which one character found out that a male friend of him is dating a guy and he's congratulating them and also people around them are doing so, instead of making a huge deal out of it, for me it feels realistic because its a friend congratulating another friend for finally having a partner.
The author said (I don't remember if it was Sayo or Kubo) but they said that they wanted to create a world in which no matter your sexuality is, love can be from everywhere and to everyone and I think that kind of positive representation is what LGBTQ community needs, to feel included, to be treated equal and as what we are regardless our sexual orientation, or religion or ethnicity or anything else, at the end we are just people and that's' what why I really love YOI because all that you can perceive it in such natural way.
ps: Yuri on Ice is not yaoi, its a sport anime but I think It can be considered, at least, as shonen ai.
ps2: I tried not to give you too much spoilers, the anime is adorable and if you watch it you'll get surprised by the whole scene, it's a really cute moment.
ps3: sorry if my english was bad, this is not my mother tongue :'v

Oh... so your point is, it didnt represent LGBTQ like in real life right? Im searching for a story based on this cruel reality. Where nothing is equal, everyone is judging eachother based on their sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion etc. Where everyone are hypocrites. Im also a hypocrite sometimes.... Not tryna sound mean, but it is a true fact right? ;) sooo... any reccomendations for mangas like that?
Can someone recommend me a good and realistic LGBTQ plot? Would prefer boy x boy, but not yaoi. Thank you!
