That's so shitty, like it's the creator's literal idea and labor that makes the manga/webtoon possible in the first place, they should get primary intellectual property rights to their own creations. They literally dedicate their lives and have no free time to meet the deadlines and they don't even get THAT much. And it's the same way in Japan too? That's really messed up. The comics industry in Korea and Japan is so terrible to its workers.

:( Yes, this is disappointing & saddening. I want to know what happens ... see the series to the creator's chosen end. I was hoping that such issues of being short changed etc wasn't happening often on that site to authors/illustrators, because I was so excited to see such well versed, beautifully drawn and thought-out content. I searched hoping that even if they had experienced some issue with them, just maybe the continued somewhere else... Does anyone know? or know the author/creator twitter/fb info? :(

I was so disappointed to hear that Sadistic Beauty was discontinued, and I don't blame the creators of the manhwa at all because they are getting short-changed by Lezhin and it wasn't fair to them at all. I'm just wondering if there's a legally binding contract saying that they could only create Sadistic Beauty or any Lezhin published webtoon under Lezhin and they weren't allowed to publish it in any other webtoon company or self-publish? Or if it's considered Lezhin's intellectual property now and the creator can't continue the story for that reason?
Either way, it's a shitty and unfortunate situation and I'm sad to see one of the Korean webtoons I really liked destined to never get a proper ending.
