I wonder why authors, especially if they're women themselves, bother to write such idiotic female characters in their stories. Why not write a supportive one? Or someone who is indeed in love with the doctor but not a bitch for a change? Feels like in BL stories all women are plain, boring or straight up terrible people. I really don't get as a woman myself, why the fuck would someone act that way. So why purposelly write them in like that?

Its sooo cliche, i understand there has be an antagonist in a story but its dull when its the same typical bitchy woman you can find in any bl, at least make them a little interesting lol.

because IT IS BL, deary!!! BOYs LOVE
So ofc, women tend to be portrayed as villains..
while other men are love rivals..
that's just the way it is..
    because it is yaoi..

supportive females don't add drama nor angst.. just a supporting role which can be omitted.. and the story still flows..

besides, those bitchy females that hates you, even you don't do anything wrong are all around us.. at work, at school.. even at the train station.. just saying this coz, you sound like you think these characters are not-needed fiction.. but they're not.. you must be either lucky that every females around you loves you or naive not realizing they actually don't lol

No. I think they're too boring. There's one in every story, but they're all devoid of personality or reasons to be the way they are. Even the cliché love rivals usually get one arc that explains their motives and gives them a bit of personality, even though they're not part of the couple and thus uneeded for the romance. What I'm saying is that there's no need to portray them as mindless idiots. If you need drama it's actually better to invest in both sides, if not you just get mildly annoyed at one and that's it which is not how you write a compelling antagonist. Plus I don't think the girl here is causing drama or any tense moments, I mean everyone knows she ain't got a chance and dude's gay. No one is worried about her, she's just annoying the readers. So I guess this type of charcters fails at its own purpose too.
